Spanish Lavenders (Lavandula stoechas)
Most of these cultivars are hardy outside during mild winters
in Oregon’s
Willamette Valley, but they will need protection during harsh winters. They grow quickly, compared to other lavenders, and grow best when pruned often.

Tender Species (different species of Lavandula)
These lavenders are fast growing.  They start blooming in late spring and continue blooming through the summer & early autumn.  They may
not survive outdoors in the winter.  They are best grown in large containers and protected autumn through early spring, until after danger of frost.
