They may not survive outdoors in the winter. They can be grown in large containers & protected autumn through early spring, until after danger of frost, then set outside late spring through summer.

This lavender is fast growing & hardy outside, if the winter is mild, in USDA Zone 8b. It starts blooming in late spring & may continue blooming through the summer & early autumn.
